Sugar CookiesSugar CookiesWhenever you make these cookies for someone, be sure to bring along several copies of the recipe because you will be asked how you did it. The great thing is you can cut out the cookies into shapes like a conch or a fan, or some other festive shape.

Ingredients

  • 2⁄3 c butter or vegatable margerine
  • 3⁄4 c sugar
  • 1 t baking powder
  • pn salt
  • 1 t vanilla essence
  • 2 c flour
  • 2 c Milk or soy milk
  • 1⁄4 c water
  • 4 1⁄2 t ligth corn syrup
  • 1 1⁄2 T butter or margerine
  • 1 1⁄2 t appropriate food color
  • 1 1⁄2 t powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Sift the dry ingredients together. Add the wet ingredients.

Roll out the cookies and bake

Instructions for Icing

* Mix together and decorate the baked cookies
